Below is a list of most commonly & least commonly pesticide-contaminated produce-- according to a NYC nutritionist.  This provides us with some knowledge for buying organic selectively (for those of us with budgets), and only buying the least contaminated from agribusiness/conventional farming sources.   You may also want to check out Organic Consumers' Association, Community Supported Agriculture and the Campaign for Food Safety

seasonal domestic cantaloupe or grapes
